About: University Hospital Wishaw / General Surgery (Wards 16-18)

(as a relative),

My Mum recently spent eight weeks in Ward 4 at Wishaw General Hospital. I would just like say a huge thank you to all the Nurses, Doctors and support staff in Ward 4 (Wishaw General). They are an amazing bunch of health professionals and I can't stress enough how cared for my Mum was, with respect and great support, It's not easy spending eight weeks in hospital for the patient or the family but they made a very stressful, worrying time in our lives bearable. My Mum has been an in-patient in many wards and 3 different hospitals over the last few years and I feel that this is the best ward by far. Even for the family they always had a welcome hello / goodbye at visiting time and were very approachable when we needed to discuss the investigations and care. We feel truly grateful and I can't thank them enough.

Dear We are thankful

Thank you very much for getting in touch and for your comments in relation to the care your mother received whilst an inpatient here at Wishaw General Hospital, and indeed at such a worrying time for you and your family. I indeed hope that your mother is recovering well and her health will continue to improve.

Your positive comments are very welcome and I will ensure they are fed back to the staff in Ward 4, who work so hard in ensuring the care we deliver to patients is of a high standard, as well as being compassionate to the families of our patients. I have no doubt they will be delighted for the feedback.
