"Outstanding care"

About: University Hospital Hairmyres / Urology

(as the patient),

I attended the urology rapid access clinic at Hairmyres on Saturday morning for a cystoscopy. The care and attention I received from all members of staff was second to none. I was made feel at ease from the first intro until leaving. These nurses genuinely care and were lovely. One small comment - please introduce yourself, although I appreciate its easily forgotten. Keep up the amazing work!

Dear Mrs proud NHS

Thank you for taking the time to share your recent experience in the rapid access clinic. I am pleased to hear that staff were caring and made you feel at ease. It is important for staff to receive feedback and I will ensure all your comments are shared with the team. As an organisation we value the importance of introducing yourself and sharing your name and it is therefore disappointing to hear that staff are not routinely doing this. I am responding on behalf of the Senior Nurse responsible for the area Gwen Macintyre and can reassure you that your comments will be shared and she will discuss with the team. Thank you again for taking the time to write your comments. I hope you are recovering well.

Kind Regards

Lise
