"Stroke Unit"

About: Royal Bournemouth General Hospital

My elderly mother was admitted to the Stroke unit and remained there for nearly 4 weeks. All the staff (medical, nursing, therapy, domestic) showed kindness and compassion towards her and never failed to deliver the best service they could. This unit is undoubtedly one of the best in the hospital. Other units should follow their example. We have thanked them already but would like to say thank you again.

Dear ‘Podge65’

Sorry to hear your mother has had a stroke as I am sure this was a very worrying time for the whole family.

It is lovely to receive your praise of the Stroke Unit and all the staff working there and I will be sure to forward your comments on to the ward sister to share with her team.

We hope your mother is settling back in to home life and regaining any lost confidence with after care support and wish you well with on-going recovery and rehabilitation.

Regards

Patient Experience Team
