I am an outpatient at the Lipid Clinic Altrincham Hospital.
I am required to have a fasting blood test 1-2 weeks prior to each appointment.
I attended for this fasting test on Friday 27th August at 9.30am and encountered a 90 min waiting sign.
I gave my letter to the staff on reception and said that I had problems with fainting after lack of food.which can be found in my doctor's notes.
The waiting room was hot and full of people and I asked if I could be tested earlier.
The receptionist went to check and said I would have to wait with everyone else.
This has not been the case before and I stated that I did not feel able to do this and went home, which is in Sale. There was no understanding or care shown by your staff.
I phoned the consultant's secretary but will not be able to speak until Tuesday.
Is there no possibility of an appointment system for people like myself as I need to have this test at least a week before 9th September and there is no facility at Firsway Health Centre my referring doctor's surgery.
"Uncaring attitude of staff"
