"KGH regard the staff as my friends"

About: Kettering General Hospital / Ophthalmology

I have wet macular degeneration in both eyes. I have been receiving lucentus injections for the last two and a half years.

My consultant is lovely, friendly and puts you at ease straight away as does the other dr I see.

I was terrified at the prospect of having injections in my eyes, iin fact my worse nightmare.

I was put at ease straight away by the kind friendly staff who assured me there was nothing to worry about.

They were right there is nothing to worry about. I have now had 21injections, and I can honestly say I look forward to my visits to Spencer ward I am on first name terms with the nursing staff as they are with me, and I regard them as friends.

I cannot praise the the staff of the eye department highly enough, the consultants and doctors and nurses are second to none thank you so very much.

Rosslynn Johnson.
