"Reception is a disgrace"

About: St Helens Hospital

Had a leg cut open due to an accident, hopped into the reception - as this was the nearest hospital and I didn't know anything about it - the receptionist was on the mobile phone, too busy noticing me,hopping and bleeding to the reception, only looked at me when I spoke to them. I said: "Hello, I have leg cut open, can you help me?" and she replied: "I'm sorry, we don't do that here". I said: "OK, so where do I go then?" And I have been sent to the Whiston hospital, which is considerably far. I asked whether I could get help at the walk-in center, and they weren't sure!

What sort of knowledge and help is that?! Extremely disappointed, hopped off outside, called myself to the walk-in center to find out that they do indeed can do stitching. Ended up with 11 stitches in total. I work in CS myself, and I just cannot believe the level of "help" I have received when I most needed it!
