"Could not fault the staff @ a+e and CCU"

About: Southampton General Hospital / Cardiology

Last weekend I was taken ill with heart problems, I presented my self at Southampton a+e and was seen straight away, I was taken through to the Pitstop stop where I was assessed and rushed through to resuscitation in what seemed like a nanosecond. I was very scared and nervous as nothing like that had ever happened to me before, all the staff were amazing at keeping me calm while all these alarms were going off and I was being wired up to all kind of machines, luckily my heart (with the help of medication) went back in the correct rhythm before I was going to be sedated and shocked back into rhythm. After a little while I was moved to CCU where I stayed for 3 days, all the staff on the ward were amazing and couldn't do enough for you day or night. I felt at ease during my stay which was a nervous time for me with worrying about what had happened. All the staff are a credit to the department from the Dr's, nurses, meal time staff, cleaning staff and anyone I have forgotten to mention. Thank you for making a stressful time easier to deal with.
