"Apauling staff attitude"

About: The Tunbridge Wells Hospital / A&E and trauma unit

My elderly client was admitted to a & e 25.8.16 for abdominal pain which she has been suffering over several weeks. She was given an x-ray. But regrettably ignored when she asked for the toilet which resulted in her laying in wet clothing and bedding and sent hime late evening with canular still in situ and ecg monitor tabs stuck all over her - what a disgraceful way to send a patient home at 90 years old!

We're really sorry to learn of your client's experience when she attended the Emergency Department last year.

Unfortunately, we weren't notified that your review had been posted at the time and this has resulted in the delay in responding to you.

If you would like to discuss what happened in more detail, please contact the Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS) on 01892 632953 or email mtw-tr.palsoffice@nhs.net, where a member of staff will be happy to help.

With kind regards, The PALS Team.
