I was admitted to Ipswich Hospital with a fractured spine on August (first class ambulance crew) following the spread of my cancer, arrived when the hospital was jam packed and clearly there were no beds. The efforts made to sort me out were brilliant. I spent time all over the place but at no time was I forgotten or neglected. The male nurse who looked after me was a hero. I then spent the night in Lavenham ward where I was treated with respect and professionalism. After my surgery I spent a few days in Needham ward and I have nothing but admiration for the way they dealt with some difficult patients and. obvious staff shortages. I'm guessing that I can't name names but I'm going to anyway. This not a full list but I just can't remember everyone. Nurses, there was Katya and the ever positive girl from Leeds? Bradford? Julie? No nurses or their assistants should be left from this list. I can see them, tall guy, oozing confidence. There was Joe, Sophie and her physiotherapy team, Kathy? and her pain relief and last but a long way from least, Peter from Macmillan, special thanks. I've missed a lot but thanks to all who got me safely home in a lot better state than when I went in.
"Excellent service in difficult conditions"
