About: William Harvey Hospital (Ashford) / Accident and emergency

Rude staff that would offer no explanation of what was going on or delays. Waiting area unbearably hot. A very poor excuse for a hospital.

I am truly sorry to hear about your experience of A&E.

The department is undergoing a redesign at the moment which will make the environment much more pleasant - I agree with you that the current waiting area can get very hot.

Nevertheless, there is never any excuse for rudeness - please accept our profound apologies for that. We also emphasise to all staff that it is very important to communicated why there are delays when they are encountered so that people waiting can make decisions as to whether they can pop off for a drink or perhaps come back later.
