"My ambulance experience"

About: South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust / Emergency ambulance

(as the patient),

I attended a party in Bradford on Tone last weekend and, towards the end of the evening, I suddenly felt very hot and unwell and ended up on the floor!

I thought I would recover quickly and that husband could get me home without further mishap. Once on my feet, it happened again and, despite my protestations and embarrassment at being such a nuisance, an ambulance was called. It arrived in no time at all, I was still on the floor when they were at the door.

I wish I could remember the names of the two gentlemen, but would really like to express my heartfelt thanks and admiration. They were just wonderful....kind, professional, thorough and empathetic.

Thank you to the ambulance service and to the lovely guys who helped me....

You were terrific.

Thank you for taking the time to share your story. I hope your husband is recovering well.

It is always rewarding to hear stories of how our staff are delivering care and support to patients, and those around them, when they need it most.

We would be happy to share your story with the ambulance staff involved in your husband's care, however to do so we will need some specific information. If you would like us to do this, please may I ask you to contact us on either plaudits@swast.nhs.uk or 01392 453 831 and a member of the Patient Engagement Team will be happy to help you further.

Thank you, again, for taking the time to provide us with feedback.

Kind regards

Sara
