"Worst care for what should be an exciting time..."

About: Queen Elizabeth I I Hospital (Welwyn Garden City)

What could be improved

Everything, midwives need to be retrained in my opinion. Had my daughter a few months ago and it was so traumatising that I have decided to have just the one child. Midwife that delivered my baby has never had children so didnt believe me when I said I could feel the head coming, they only checked when I screamed for them to look. It would also be better to have private rooms rather than a cubicle as I was always being disturbed.

Anything else?

No help with breastfeeding so I had to formula feed in the end. Also disappointed with discharge process I had to argue that I was fine so they would let me leave!

There sounds a lot here that did not go right, which is why - if you have not done so already - we would welcome your making a formal complaint so that our senior maternity colleagues can look in to your concerns and provide you with a detailed response on each one.

If you wish for this to happen, simply e-mail us on generalenquiries.enh-tr@nhs.net and we will take it from there.
