"lovely birth experience for my first baby"

Me and my partner decided to have our first baby at the Barkantine. It was a late decision in my pregnancy, but I am happy we chose the birth centre over the Hospital (Royal London). I really appreciated the calm and "less medical" atmosphere of my own private room. The midwives were extremely professional, experienced and dedicated. I was able to deliver my baby in the position I felt the most convenient and helpful for me. The only problem was the low debit of water which prevent me for using the birth pool. I highly recommend this place for all the couples who are looking for a place halfway between their home and a hospital.
