"Excellent treatment received in QMC A&E by..."

About: Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust - Queen's Medical Centre Campus

Recently, I had the misfortune of cutting the bridge of my nose with a saw whilst pruning a tree . (Don't ask how!) My nose looked a right mess. The gash was zig zagged and deep. A staff nurse in the Accident and Emergency dept treated the wound and sewed it up. The staff nurse was very skillful and thorough. The resulting scar is negligible.

Just wanted to say a big thank you to the staff nurse for their good humour, skills and steady hand.

That sounds like a nasty injury (I won’t ask how you managed it)! I’m glad to hear you are all healed now. Thank you for getting in touch and for your kind words, which I’ve shared with the Emergency Department team.

Sending you our best wishes

Lucy Thow
