About: Hillingdon Hospital

I sat for 5 hours in A&E last night and had to return this morning for a scan which I had within half an hour I have now sat for another 3 hours for the results !!! Still waiting ...............how long does it take to look at a scan ........

Dear Vick,

I was very sorry to hear of the difficulties you have experienced within the A&E department at Hillingdon and agree that a waiting time of 5 hours is not acceptable.

The department is currently implementing a rigorous improvement plan which has been designed to improve: waiting times, patients experience and patient outcomes. I appreciate that this has not helped you in this instance and apologise for that. I can however, assure you that the improvements we are currently making in terms of staffing, equipment and space will achieve the aims of improving patient care.

I trust that should you require our services again in the future you will find them very much improved.
