"My name removed from system"

About: Watford General Hospital

I arrived at A&E Friday afternoon at 4.30pm, after traveling home from our holiday in the New Forest (I thought going to the hospital near home would be the best thing! ). I had broken my 5th Metatarsal. On arrival all seemed amazing, I gave my name and details, I sat down and in 5 minutes I was called by the nurse to take down injury details. Went back in to the waiting room and about 15 minutes later I was called for my X-ray. After that it all went down hill !! I was left sitting in a wheelchair which I couldn't move myself (I had told my husband to take our daughter home after about an hour). After 4 hours of waiting I was very tired and hungry (as I couldn't get anything as I couldn't walk) I got quite up set and ended up calling to a Doctor to find out what was happening, the doctor said give them 5 minutes to look at my X-ray. When the doctor called me in they said they were sorry but my name had been removed from the system!!! Anyway the doctor said they couldn't find anything wrong but asked a consultant and apparently my 5th metatarsal is fractured. I was then waiting for a walking book which I had fitted and basically told where the exit was! I wasn't even given crutches or told if I need to go back! Just sent on my way. There is no aftercare ! Infant there was no care at all. I finally got home at 10.30pm !!
