"Fantastic treatment"

I was treated in A&E whilst on holiday. From the moment I arrived I was warmly welcomed by the reception team and was pleased that the waiting room was so clean and tidy. I was promptly seen by the triage nurse and reassured that I would not be waiting too long. In about an hour I was seen by a wonderful Nurse who treated the abscess on my ear lobe, that had become more swollen and painful since the beginning of my holiday despite having been taking antibiotics from my GP. This nurse had a wonderful calming influence and provided reassurance, sympathy and kindness to me throughout. I was advised of how to clean and treat the abscess and encouraged to return if needed. This Nurse was very competent and professional throughout and was a credit to the profession. I would not hesitate to recommend Airedale hospital to anyone as they demonstrated a high standard of care to myself and to others that I saw also waiting to be treated.
