About: Queen Elizabeth Hospital (Greater London)

I have had occasion to have a series of tests recently at the QE and have been so impressed. Especially with the kindness, professionalism and care at the Day Care Unit. I was also impressed with the CT department from the lovely member of staff who fitted a canular and the staff who did the scan. However I was less happy to receive an unexpected diagnosis by letter. The doctor would not have known that my father died of these illness but I was distraught! The diagnosis was unconnected to the the presenting problem. I was fortunate to have support at home and a speedy appointment with my GP who put everything in perspective for me. This could have been even more distressing for someone at home alone. However I would not want this to affect my overall scores.
