"Sons treatment after bike accident"

About: Queen's Hospital / Accident & emergency

(as a relative),

Our son had an accident on 26th July, taken to queens by ambulance (staff were amazing, even chained our sons bike up so it was secure! ) at the hospital he was assessed quickly, he had a very bad dislocation, and after X-rays found out he also had a spiral fracture of leg bone! He did have to wait 6 days for surgery, despite being told surgery would go ahead on previous day, but there were more emergency cases needing treatment. He had surgery, which went well and was discharged later that day, as his parents we would like to say thank you to all the staff, from the lady with the tea trolley to the consultant who did his surgery. You were all so kind, professional and reassuring.

I am delighted to hear about the experience your son had, when he had to visit our Emergency Department at Queen’s Hospital.

I am so pleased that he received such a high standard of care from everyone he came into contact with.

I will ensure that your comments are passed on to our Emergency Department management team, in order that they can share this with their staff.

Yours Sincerely

Nadeem Moghal

Medical Director
