I had cause to visit A&E this afternoon with concerns about heat in my knee after a recent knee replacement op carried out elsewhere. A doctor at the hospital carrying out the op suggested this in case some infection had set in. At all stages, I was dealt with courteously and efficiently. The triage nurse was excellent, making the extra effort to see if someone from the orthopaedic team could see me after blood tests. Yes, they could! Blood tests came back after 30 mins and the orthopaedic doctor (who had worked with my knee surgeon at some time) was informative and reassuring, gave me a note of the results and promised to pass these directly to the surgeon involved. I came away very happy with the attention I received and reassured over the outcome. Well done, A&E team!
"Great treatment"
