"A & E and Kipling Ward amazing!!"

Wonderful hospital

We was on Holiday staying in Bexhill when my son was admitted to hospital with a bad chest infection - when we arrived from Eastbourne hospital at around 8.30 pm, there was a bed all made up for my son, and also a camp bed for myself. The lovely nurse concerntrated on getting my sons meds and him settled before we filled in paper work etc, the nurse then showed me where the toilets/showers and kitchen was where I was able to make myself tea/coffee/juice/toast, etc, and all they ask is for a donation to help buy supplies - a lovely touch, especially for those who don't know the hospital, and don't want to leave or be too far away from the little ones! The following evening, my daughter come off her bike, so my husband bought her to the ward to see me and then I rushed her down to A and E as her face was in a right mess with cuts/grazes and swelling! I checked in to A and E, and within minutes I was seen by triage, and then was put at the top of the list to see a Dr which I waited no longer than 5 minutes - above and beyond in my eyes. Once my daughter was all cleaned up they then wanted to keep her in due to the head injury. So A and E called Kipling Ward, and they sorted the bed out next to my son for her to stay in too, again the lovely night nurses made her feel welcome and at ease, along with the Drs the following couple of nights! To me this seems like a very good hospital, with nurses and Drs who actually care about the kids and the parents too - a lot more than I can say for my local hospital. I would just like this opportunity to say massive Thankyou to the staff in A and E and Kipling ward.
