"Staff in A&E"

About: Stoke Mandeville Hospital

Went to this hospital with cramps in my belly 16 weeks pregnant had 4 previous miscarriages got checked over by 3 members of staff that didn't have a clue what they was doing scanned me and basically told me my baby had died and I would have to give birth to it the next day they let me home and booked me in for a scan the next morning just to check baby to then be told my baby was perfectly fine and a good heartbeat! So I panicked all night for nothing would definitely not cone back to this hospital ever ever again!

Dear patient

I am so sorry to read that, following your visit to Stoke Mandeville Hospital A&E with stomach cramps, you were told by staff that your 16 week unborn baby had died and that you were to return the next day to give birth. I am very relieved to hear that this information turned out to be incorrect but I can completely understand how distressing this must have been for you at the time.

We are concerned to learn that this was your experience of Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust’s services and we hope that you may be willing to speak with us in some more detail about your experience, so that we can understand what happened more clearly.

If you are happy to share more detail about your specific experience with us, please contact our dedicated Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS) on 01296 316042 or email pals@buckshealthcare.nhs.uk.

I wish you all the best with the rest of your pregnancy.
