"EVERYTHING. Terminally ill 94 ..."

About: Manchester Royal Infirmary

(as a relative),

What could be improved

EVERYTHING. Terminally ill 94 year old, who fell as nobody bothered to help him to the loo, and broke his hip.left in his own vomit after ridiculous attempt to give him a bowl of porridge, out on main ward away from nurses station, had to be recatheterised after bodged first attempt left haematoma in his urethra, now has probable pulmonary fat emboli and ?cerebral bone emboli as #NOF is inoperable, family was told that staff 'did not know how to move him' (ER, where is the lifting and handling training then? are all the physios off work then?)

No parking permit offered and so family stressing over being clamped when they should be able to make the most of the time they have left with their dad - who incidentally used to work at this hospital.

Anything else?

PALS worse than useless. Unable to help - handed son a 'we value your comments' slip through a hatch in the window when he went to complain about his dad's fall and lack of care.
