"Parking - Notices"

About: Torbay Hospital

Albeit a 73Yrs old male and ex civil service I think that I'm still 'switched on'.

On entering the car park I obtained a bar coded (otherwise blank) ticket ad presumed that i payed on the way out.

Then I noticed signs telling me that I would be given a penalty ticket if I failed to display a valid ticket!

I asked in reception and was told not to worry, pay on the way out.

I the dept. I had to visit there was a prominant sign telling me about action to take in the event of a delay in my appointment and my parking?

But I took a chance, and all was well.

However, I have to say that private companies are a law unto themselves, and i don't find it too reassuring that they are dressed all in black with the appearance of SWAT team members!

It may excite them to appear this way, but neither our police or prison service would be allowed to present - routinely, such an intimidating image.

In my view not only does the signage need to be clarified, but the appearance of this company's employees needs to be more 'site friendly'.

They might have to deal with yobbos occasionally, but really!!!!!!!!!!

Dear Patient

Thank you for taking the time to comment.

It is always good to receive feedback; we try to ensure we share examples of good practice and also that we learn from any negative experiences.

Kind regards
