About: The Skelmersdale Walk in Centre

We do not have much occasion to have to use the walk in facility but as we were unable to get an appointment with our own GP and we were due to go on holiday we had no option. My husband attended and was told that the pain in his ear and throat was not due to an infection. He was questioned about his hygiene with his ears as he was told his right ear was full of wax and would need to be srynged.

As the pain was not better when we returned home he made an appointment to see our own doctor. He was found to have an ear and throat infection and no wax in his ear. Our GP was baffled how a professional could not see this. They also were glad that the syringing did not happen as this could have caused damage. Our faith in this facility is at an all time low and we are very reluctant to use it again.
