I am still upset at what happened prior to my last breakdown .I was discharged from my care co-ordinator even though I told them I was unwell and having auditory hallucinations. They came to visit with their line manager when i expressed this again and was subsequently discharged from having a care co-ordinator.I became increasingly worse and was chronically suicidal whilst being manic.I was alone and without help. This breakdown cost me family and friendhips.I am well looked after now but think that the team should be aware of how ill people can become without proper and consistent help. I would like to add that the benefits system is so bad at present that psychiatrists should always provide covering letters.I have been informed by a Conservative M.P that this is unlikely to change in the forseeable future.Assessments are frequent and gruelling and are triggering. If someone is placed in the WRAG group they receive only £70.00 benefit. This does not cover household bills and expenses adequately and leaves people with the constant stress of living in financial difficulty.
