"Superb care at West Cumberland A&E"

About: West Cumberland Hospital

I had to attend A&E on Saturday 13 August after breaking my big toe in 6 places. Can I say that the service was first rate. Caring, thoughtful staff who had my interests at heart. I had to return to A&E on the Sunday night for further treatment to relieve a pressure build up in my toe. The staff were absolutely excellent and had me sorted in no time. The staff in A&E are not only a credit to West Cumbria but the NHS in general. Thank you for getting me on the road to recovery. Pete cook

Response from West Cumberland Hospital

Dear Mr Cook

Thank you for getting in touch with us with such a positive review of your recent experience of the A&E department at West Cumberland Hospital after breaking your toe. I can only imagine how painful that must have been.

I am very pleased to hear that you found the care and attention to be of such a high standard and I will pass your comments to the Matron for the area as I am sure she will be delighted to share your feedback with the wider team, especially those on duty on the Saturday 13th August and Sunday 14th August.

I do hope that your toe is continuing to improve and that you are feeling a lot better.

Best wishes for the future.
