"NothingMy waters broke completely ..."

About: King's Mill Hospital

(as the patient),

What I liked Nothing What could be improved? My waters broke completely at 2am on christmas eve they left me untill 5.31am on boxing day until my baby was born thats 53 hours i have looked into this and a baby should never be left any longer than 24-48 hours i beleive they just didnt want me giving birth on christmas day my son was born with an eye infection and i beleive that had something to do with it. Whilst i was in labour they kept refusing pain relief, i was sick all over my self and they NEVER changed me for hours as soon as he was born the midwife walked out of the room she never but my baby on the breast to feed which resulted in him never breastfeeding, i had no pillows i ripped chunks of my hair out on the metal beds, at one point the midwife kept saying there was something wrong with the unborn child and kept getting doctors in and standing in front of me arguing one was saying he was ill the other was saying he wasnt they didnt care about my feelings at all it was disgusting treatment i received i also had a drip to induce me which the midwife had turned up to high so its was unbearably painfull i was taking gas and air and the midwife kept taking it off me saying i wasnt having a contraction when i clearly was when the doctor saw me he sent her straight out for an epidural many other things happened it has scarred me for life i would never go there again. Anything else? When my son was born they left me in the delivery room for hours on my own with a baby he wouldnt feed i was exhausted no sleep for 53 hours no help from anyone i couldnt get him to feed the delivery room was never cleaned it had my blood and sick still in it and to top it all my partner had to drag me to the shower with no one else there i had just had an epidural i could of killed my self he had to hold me up it was awful. once i got up to the ward the staff were awful to me i had just fallen asleep for 5 minutes and they came bursting in going through all of my bags getting things out for no reason i was mortified for hours and hours i begged for a bottle for my son and they wouldnt give me one after 12 hours they let me have a bottle to feed him hes never been a good feeder since its scarred me that much i dont think id ever be able to have another child.
