"I was impressed by the kindness that all the staff showed"

About: Royal Sussex County Hospital / Accident and emergency

(as the patient),

Brought back to Brighton after a serious accident in France I was admitted to the trauma ward at Royal Sussex County Hospital. Kind and caring nursing after surgery and then excellent rehab from physiotherapists which started the day after my op. Helpful discussions with OTs and trauma psychologist. Doctors were clear about my treatment plan which will involve a bit of watch and wait but good communication. Special mention to night staff who saw me at my lowest points Freda, Annie and Carol and Rosie

Overall I was impressed by the kindness that all the staff showed even though they are constantly struggling with the business of the ward they were all so kind.

I would have liked not to have to come into the hospital via A&E though.

Thank you very much for your kind comments expressing your gratitude to our Trauma Team following your accident.

It really is encouraging for our staff when they receive thanks from patients and relatives for the care they have provided, and it is always very much appreciated.

Thank you again for taking the time to contact us and I trust that you are continuing to recover well.

Best wishes
