"gracious thanks- perfect in spite of rude patients"

About: The Royal London Hospital

Our second baby in Royal London, first in the new set up. On behalf of our family gracious thanks to all the polite courteous caring staff who brought our second boy into the world safely.

I wanted to highlight how appalled I was with the attitude of patients in the ward at the same time. The truth is Tower hamlets is swamped and the maternity ward is over subscribed.

Two of the midwives we met at 0700 did not have a break, nor scrap of food til late afternoon. And yet I heard husbands berating and aggressively moaning.

I salute all the Royal London staff at every level . Personally anyone reading this who is tempted to take on board the one star rants of those with an entitlement attitude- ignore them.

Please pass on our thanks to the staff. Wholly appreciate the work you do. No one should put up with the ingratitude of people who clearly get more out of it than they put in.

Patients should start focusing on what they have not what is missing. And say thanks.
