I use the patient transport service from my home on Arran to Crosshouse hospital. On the last two occasions the service has been poor.
We arrived back at Brodick and no Ambulance was waiting at the Jetty to take me home. The Pier staff checked with the service and the Ambulance had been called out - I waited 50 mins till the Ambulance came.
A month later there was no Ambulance waiting - it was out on a 999 call and no-one had told the pier staff.. There was still no sign after 30mins so one of our neighbours helped and took us home.
I am 96 years old so it is alot to journey to the hospital. Is there only one ambulance on the island?
Previously it has been ok.
