Our 11 year old daughter was admitted to CH and discharged with Cough Variant Asthma, after filling her for months with steroids and inhalers of various types I asked for further investigations and a Lung Function Test, she was given both and found not to have Asthma and referred to ENT.
We have been seen lots of times in ENT and they have been helpful the Dr immediately noticed her skin and under her eyes were blue (as always) and he suspected allergies, he had a camera down her nose there and then and allergy tested her too, we left with a prescription for allergy treatment and a nasal spray.
Results were back in no time and for the first time in many months, she could breathe easier (not 100%) she could smell things and looked so much better.
Our G. P are the people letting us down they wont prescribe the medicines she needs without complaining or questioning and they cant seem to understand that some days and weeks she's worse than others at present she's borderline asthma attack from allergies.
ENT once again have outshone our G. P by agreeing to see her this month as she is at her worst again and hopefully they will have something more than these two medicines and a nasal spray.
Its terrible seeing your child suffering.
