"My mother was a patient on ward ..."

About: North Tyneside General Hospital

(as a relative),

What I liked

My mother was a patient on ward 3 in November, she was diagnosed with terminal lung cancer. I wish to say how grateful we were for the staff, including doctors, nurses and physiotherapy staff who made my mother comfortable during her stay and arranged discharge so she could realise her wishes and spend her last weeks in the care of her family.

Thank you all so much, when there is so much pressure on health staff's performance it is nice for you to know how much your kindness and professionalism and care meant to us all.

Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust replies: Please accept my condolences on the loss of your mother and I would like to thank you for your recent comments posted on the NHCT website regarding the care afforded to your mother and her family at North Tyneside General Hospital. It was very kind of you to write and complement the staff on their care. Thank you for taking the time to write especially at this time.
