I am 40 years old and have been diagnosed with bipolar disorder in my late teens.
I have been sectioned around 10 times. I have been to 6 low secure units in the north and this is by far the worst of all of them.
From the psychrist telling me lies to plecate me and increasing doses of lorizapan over the NICE guidelines. This induced suicide thoughts and feelings, to the nursing team bulling me to take meds with terrible side affects. To the ward manager describing the catering as dog food.
This establishment makes you feel like an extra from a zombie film. Where is the compassion ? On the flip side the 4 month admission has made me super aware the importance of looking after my mental health at home in the community.
This is worse then prison. You can count the days down in there
