What I liked
Friendly and helpful staff
Prompt attention
The technology and efficiency on the Cancer ward, where I have spent several months over the last year, in Intensive Care -where I spent a few days, and in the various departments I came into contact with - including the Intensive Care Unit (where I spent a few days), Scanning dept(PET/CT), X-ray and Echocardiagram depts.
The views from the tower - especially to the South are tremendous.
What could be improved
The lifts in the Tower. There didn't seem to be enough working ones for the volume of staff and patients. So everyone wastes a lot of time waiting. It maybe that a study of the time spent waiting is needed? A few of the patient bed lifts could perhaps be converted for general use? (I was on the 15th floor)
The food - Not enough spicy food/curry for me!
Anything else?
I liked the way the nurses in the cancer ward where I was actually did the nursing - I've been to other hospitals where there are "health care assistants" who perform the traditional nursing role, while the nurses tend to congregate around the nursing ststion so you hardly see them if you are confined to bed.
