"Had tumble at home on Friday 12 th August and..."

About: Altrincham General Hospital

Had used old facility which was tired to say the least. However, they service was always speedy, friendly, competent and professional. Delighted to report that this is still the case. In and out in under an hour having had an X-ray. Got splints and pain killers and good advice. Well pleased. If you take a tumble, I can fully recommend Alti minor injuries. Small point, the water font and snacks machine are hidden at the far end of reception, they need to be relocated to main reception.

Thank you for your comments posted on the NHS Choices website regarding your attendance at Altrincham Hospital Minor Injuries Unit. It was very kind of you to write and compliment the staff as it is good to receive positive feedback which reflects the hard work and dedication of our staff. It was reassuring to read that you thought the service was efficient, professional and you can recommend attending the unit. I can assure you that we have passed on your feedback to Operational Manager for Altrincham Hospital so that it can be shared with the Minor Injuries Unit staff.

In response to your comment regarding the vending machines, I can tell you that the positioning of them was subject to the availability of the required utilities I.e. electricity and water. This limited the installation to the far end of the ground floor reception area as you indicate. This area also contains seating for Outpatient Clinics which see the largest number of patients. This was also a consideration when deciding where to position the vending machines. We do acknowledge that there is a lack of signage indicating where the vending machines are located. However, we have asked the Operational Manager for Altrincham Hospital to work with the Trust facilities team with identifying improvements in signposting the machines.
