"Critical care and coronary care team"

About: University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust

From the moment my son summoned the ambulance via 111 about my chest pain service was second to none - the two paramedics were extremely efficient-polite and caring and quickly arranged for my transfer to hospital as i was having a heart attack . On arrival at the hospital the Critical care team led by the night sister were fully informed of my condition and started work straight away improving my blood pressure and relieving my intense pain - In all my stay in this department all the staff were friendly pleasant and instilled confidence -by that i mean from surgeons nursing staff and everyone i had contact with during my stay and post op -every procedure was fully explained beforehand -i realize some people prefer not to know but if i am well informed I relax and have absolute confidence in the people carrying it out- pain relief was well managed throughout my stay-I only had to ask if it became unbearable-All staff with no exception went well beyond the call of duty to assure I was as comfortable as possible during my stay with them.
