"I came for colonoscopy which was a disaster"

About: Nottingham Woodthorpe Hospital

The nurse who takes blood pressure and check in was very nice but I told them I was still feeling as I wanted to go to toilet, they said don,t worry it may be wind but I said I still feel full. He said the doctor would suck it out. When I finally went in both nurses went off looking for something leaving me with the doctor nobody monitoring me. The pain was unbearable I remember screaming oh God more than once. The doctor gave me sudation. I woke up in the recovery room the nurse said that the doctor abandoned it, I ask why she said I don,t know they are sending you for ct scan. I received a letter saying bad prep was the reason abandoned. I did everything it said drank gallons of water still on the toilet at 2.30 In the morning .went to the park for that on the 15th July they told me if I had,nt heard anything by the end of the following week to get in touch with Woodthorpe, which I did every day. Some days more than once. I could not get to talk anyone that week. After a lot of unanswered calls, I finally managed to speak to the surgeon's secretary I was told they would look into it and phone me back, but never did. I phoned them on Wednesday. They found my notes and promised me they would be sent out Thursday.

That was the 4th of Aug it is the 12th today and still not received anything, This is disgusting. But reading the reviews it does not look good for patience If you cannot be bothered to look after NHS patients do not take us.

I did not ask to come and I certainly would not come again.
