(as the patient),

had mri on 29/05/16.

10 weeks waiting still no results.

many calls to gp.

gp red flagged 3 times on email system.

pals no use either.

ongoing treatment on hold until results given.

We apologise for the delay. The hospital has recently installed new software to manage its Imaging Department workload as part of a regional programme. This process has been problematic with many system issues that have been and still are preventing the Imaging Department from working efficiently and to full capacity. Please be assured the Trust is taking this situation very seriously and all available resource is being put in to resolving the issues. The Trust has been providing regular updates to all GP surgeries and to our commissioners in addition to responding to individual requests from patients and GP staff to expedite individual reports. Any request to report an examination urgently is actioned as soon as possible however the team is trying to treat all patients fairly and report examinations in order of examination date.
