Was admitted to L28 day place thingee for an operation at 7:30 am on the 11th and the staff were very welcoming and friendly which is good for so early (or so late depending on what shift).
Because I wasnt an emergency I didnt get started with things until about 4pm but I didnt feel forgotten or anything and was allowed to watch the TV. A nurse looked after me and kept me updated. Really felt like I was in good hands plus the nurse looked impeccable.
Woke up from the surgery (which was done very well) and I asked a doctor for a cup of tea. Was very impressed when they went to get it themself, and also got one for the assistant as well. Lots of great character in that hospital.
Got transfered to L23 after the surgery and felt like I was in a 5 star hotel tbh. Coffee and tea even at 5am, didn't try to stop me from going for cigs in the middle of the night. Really good staff in that ward as well.
Overall - happy with the experience and will definitely open my mouth next time i hear people trying to diss the NHS.
