"Barred from mental health "support""

About: Devon Partnership NHS Trust

Last week and this week I was referred for an assessment by the Mental health team by two other agencies, the crisis team and DAS, I have just been told that I cannot be assessed or get any support for my mental health problems because the team meeting decided it was not something they will back despite my being suicidal recently. My GP has also referred me but if the team do not accept the judgement of the two agencies I have dealt with so far they will probably not change their minds after getting yet another request for help from a great GP who has known me over a long period of time. I have not been difficult all I want is some access to the afternoon helpline and someone to monitor my drugs. Is this why Exeter has such a bad reputation for Mental Health?
