"Thank you for putting me at ease"

About: Crawley Hospital / Clinical haematology

(as the patient),

Went to the blood test place in Crawley Hospital. I have a really bad blood phobia and usually faint when having blood taken so I was really stressed and feeling quite sick. 5 people were waiting in front of me and only one person taking blood. Despite this I was seen very quickly and after telling the lovely older lady I sometimes faint, she said not to worry and to go to another chair where she laid me down. I felt instantly at ease with this lady and the way she was with me. She took my blood very quickly and did not hurt at all. She did not make me feel like I was being a pain like some have in the past. A BIG thank you for making my visit almost enjoyable and for putting me at ease for any future blood tests I may need to have. The only request I have is that this lady takes my blood every time please.

My apologies for the delay in replying to your message.

Thank you so much for taking the time to post your comments about your recent visit to the Phlebotomy department at Crawley Hospital and I'm pleased to know that you were seen quickly and that the lady who took your blood took notice of your phobia and put you at ease. I will pass on your comments to the phlebotomist concerned and whilst I cannot guarantee she will be there next time you visit I trust and expect that you will receive exactly the same kind consideration from anyone in the team.
