"Mixed feelings"

About: Bedford Hospital South Wing

I must underline all the midwifes are lovely, they are just far to busy to give pepole the extrain mile of care. There was a huge lack of communication between pediatrician s and midwifes, I was never 100% sure why my 1 day old baby was being put on anti biotics everytime I asked it seemed to be another reason. It wasn't until we were moved to a neo natal ward I felt better about the treatment my son was receiving and the doctor was much more helpful again I feel this was a time aspect as they are more midwifes to babies (not implying they aren't busy as they work so hard). I had a smooth pregnancy, was looked after through induction and delivery, however I do feel if I wasn't left to go so far over my due date my son would have not had the issues he did. Just aftercare lacked, I also felt like a caged animal as you can't leave the wards even if dad is with baby.
