"Excellent birth experience"

The care I received at NSECH was outstanding from start to finish. I was due to have a planned c-section for medical reasons but my waters broke early so it ended up being an emergency section. Every staff member involved was fantastic - a great mix of professional and friendly. Special thanks to surgeon Jo and her team - you put me at ease and explained what was happening the whole way through. I also want to say a huge thank you to the anaesthetist, Simon, who could obviously see that I was shaking with nerves - he really managed to calm me down by chatting to me about every day things and keeping me up to speed with what was happening.

I would highly recommend this hospital for having your baby in - the care and support both during and after labour is superb.
