About: Haltwhistle War Memorial Hospital

My sister-in-law spent 8 weeks in Haltwhistle hospital , she struggled with Alzheimer's and broke her hip , unfortunately she sadly lost her battle , but not with dignity and compassion . The kind and caring staff looked after her and went above and beyond , not only did they look after her but also her family, this was as next best thing to bringing her home .

This is is a most unique hospital which we are very lucky to have. Thank you to everyone who , nursed , cared and led us through this difficult time you all know who you are and we will never forget your compassion.

Firstly can I just say how sorry I am to hear about the loss of your sister-in-law, my sincere condolences to you and your family at this very sad time.

Your review was such a lovely account of everything we would want our care to be. Thank you for sharing it. I know how moved the team will be to see how much you appreciated everything that they did for you all.

They have a right to feel very proud. I know I am.

In healthcare it is our absolute privilege to be with people at key moments in their lives. Your relative deserved to be cared for with dignity and compassion during the last couple of months of hers. I'm glad we could provide that for her - I really do hope the quality of care received and the kindness of our staff is of some comfort to you now as a family.
