"My father was admitted from a Care Home to Ward 44."

About: Tameside General Hospital / Older people's healthcare Willow Wood Hospice

(as a relative),

He was admitted with sepsis and was treated on Ward 44 for a month prior to his transfer to Willow Wood Hospice where he died. Care pathways were implemented by the nursing staff which included a SALT assessment, Tissue Viability Nurse referral and various investigations.

He was treated with kindness and dignity and all his needs were met by friendly staff who got to know us well. As a family we were included in all decision making and our needs were met as well as my fathers.

The care was excellent and we will never forget all the staff on Ward 44.
