"Excellent experience as an inpatient"

I ended up needing spinal surgery this year and got it done on the NHS at Woodthorpe. I can't recommend the team or thank them enough for everything they've done for me. The consultant was knowledgeable, friendly and helpful and took the time to explain my options and all the risks. On the day of the surgery the nursing staff really put me at ease and took care of me properly. After the surgery they were so helpful and did everything they could to make me comfortable. I can't imagine having to go through a night like that on a ward with other people - it was so nice to have a private room and private facilities. The operation itself went smoothly and the (ongoing) aftercare has been the same high quality. I'm thinking of getting private health insurance now so I can be sure of this treatment every time I need to go to hospital!
