I had my first total knee replacement in March and my second in July. On both occasions I was in Ward B. Prior to my first knee replacement, I had never spent a night in hospital so was naturally anxious. I needn't have worried. Every member of staff I came into contact with, surgeon, anaesthetist, nurses, physios, catering, porters, radiographers and housekeeping, could not have been more compassionate and totally professional. I had exactly the same treatment when returned for the second knee replacement. For a couple of days after my surgery the temperature was around 30 degrees which was very testing for the staff. The nurses were completely understanding of my wanting to shower and provided me with the required assistance whilst completely maintaining my dignity. Their dedication is way beyond the call of duty.
"I can't praise highly enough."
