"hysteroscopy"

About: Kettering General Hospital

I was so emotional going into Rockingham Wing wards again on the morning of my hysteroscopy.

The last time I'd been there was for the birth of my youngest son 11 years ago. When I arrived at Maple Ward everyone was so lovely and put my mind at ease straight away. I was treated with dignity and respect throughout. All the staff work so hard. When I was upset a lovely nurse took the time to offer an arm round my shoulder to give me support and reassurance. The new operating theatre is impressive and the staff down there were lovely too. I'm recovering back at home now and keeping my fingers crossed that my minor op will work for me. Thank you all. ps I can recommend the quality of the cups of tea!

Thank you for taking the time provide us with your feedback. It is with great pleasure that I respond to your comments on NHS Choices regarding the care you received while on Maple ward at Kettering Hospital in August 2016.

We work very hard as a team to provide individualised care to all women we care for to ensure they have a positive experience. It is always our aim to try to reduce any fear regarding the operation you are about to have.

We are really pleased to have achieved this for you and your comments will be shared with the team; it means a lot to them all to hear that their dedicated work is very much appreciated.

Kind regards

Laura Chambers – Ward Matron
