"Our 11 year old son was rushed ..."

About: Warwick Hospital

(as a relative),

What I liked

Our 11 year old son was rushed in on a Friday evening with a suspected appendicitis. I was allowed to stay with him at his bedside on a sofabed and we were both treated with great care and consideration. We were kept informed throughout his treatment and he was consulted throughout (he is 11 so not quite a child). Cleaning was at the forefront every day. Nursing staff became like friends despite being so under pressure and short staffed at times. Food wasn't a particular issue as our son was so ill he wasn't particularly up to eating but it looked fine and fit for purpose.

What could be improved

Parking is ridiculously high. I was at our sons bedside from 12 till 8 each day and that would have cost us £9 per day but we did manage to get a weeks ticket which lessened the price.

Anything else?

The lack of a shop is ridiculous. How can nobody make a shop work on this location. The canteen, although averagely ok was poor for basics like a hospital shop should have.
